The Oak Village Women's Club was founded in 1984 with the purpose of providing a place where new residents to the community could come to meet and make new friends. To this day, that is still the focus. The Oak Village Women's Club is primarily a social club for women residing in all communities of Sugarmill Woods (Oak Village, CypressVillage, Southern Woods, Royal Dalton and Deer Park Cottages).

Members meet for lunch and entertainment on the second Monday of each month from September through May. The cost to join is $20.00 per year, which covers expenses and entertainment along with a membership directory that reflects the intinerary for the season.

Guests are always welcome to attend a luncheon at a cost of  $25.00 for their first visit and $27.00 for any additional visits.  Members currently pay $25.00 for each luncheon they choose to attend.  A check in the correct amount payable to OVWC, along with your meal choice (written in the memo section at the bottom line of your check) must be dropped in either of the two OVWC drop boxes by 5:00 p.m. by the first of the month prior to the luncheon.  One drop box is located at the Oak Village Bath & Tennis bulletin board (North Oak Village) and the other is on Oak Village Boulevard South (on the south side of US 98 just past Daisy St. on the right).

The Oak Village Women's Club offers Group Outings, Informative Speakers, Monthly Luncheons, Fund Raisers for Charity, Bingo, Book Club, Bunco, Kayaking and other group activities. The Club provides a great opportunity to meet more women who are residents of Sugarmill Woods.
